Dog Town Rescue needs your help! Nearly everyday you can stop in and meet an average of 15 foster dogs in our facility that we have saved from Philadelphia's high kill shelter. Caring for these pups keeps our staff busy. Volunteering your time makes a tremendous difference in our foster dogs lives and it's fun!
Volunteering can include; walking, feeding, cleaning kennels, playing and socializing our rescue dogs. Other opportunities outside of our adoption center include; being a dog handler at one of our local rescue events and transportation services for our dogs.

2019 VOLUNTEER POLICY
Hi, village! We have some changes to our volunteer policy for the new year that we want to communicate!
Volunteers must be 16 YEARS of age or older. We can no longer accept volunteers under 16 years, even with a parent or guardian present. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause, but due to insurance policies, it must be enforced. In light of this new policy, we will be hosting "Kid's Night" at least once a month to gauge involvement, and we will be planning specific activities our supporters under 16 can assist with. Please check back on our Facebook page for sign ups for those nights!
ALL volunteers must complete our orientation prior to beginning their volunteer work. We host orientations at our Hatfield location every other Wednesday evening from 6-7 PM. Check our website for future dates!
At orientation, you will be given further information on how to volunteer at events!
Thank you all SO much for your support, and please know we truly appreciate each and every person who gives up their time to help care for our amazing fosters. If you have ANY questions, please feel free to message us, or email adoptions@dogtown309.com.
